This sundial was constructed to conmemorate the bicentenial of his fundation in October 12, 1791. Is in front of the Administrative building and the Rectoria. The sundial is a design of Gonzalo del Pozo Brambila.
There are a few sundials in Guadalajara. This is the biggest.

Este reloj de sol fue construido para conmemorar el bicentenario de la fundación de la Universidad de Guadalajara (12 de octubre de 1971). Esta en el frente del edificio Administrativo y el edificio de Rectoría. Es una obra de Gozalo del Pozo Brambila.
Hay muy pocos relojes de sol en Guadalajara. Este es el más grande.
