The viewpoint here on Slape Lane has a stainless steel plaque on the top of it showing distant mountains of the Lake District, as well as nearby features such as the village church. Also shown on the plaque are the location co-ords for the viewpoint and also some of the inscription is in Brail for the visually impaired.
The height above sea level is also shown which is 65m or more well acknowledged as 215 feet.
