Catholic church parish established in 1948. This current building dated 1966. I have to assume, although I could find no validated history, that a previous church building was somehow destroyed and this structure built. I have found refrence to "A small white frame building with a bell tower and a short steeple"..Louisiana A guide to the State. Pg. 417. 1971
This is obviously not that white structure.
