According to the owner of the Illinois River Winery, this truck was used as the main means of shuttling the grapes from the vineyard to the winery. It then went into semi-retirement as a ride-along vehicle in local parades. After sitting idle for two or three years, the owner does not believe it can be revived for functional use again, so it now being maintained as the mascot for the winery's tasting room.
