I'm a regular fan of this BBQ and sandwich shop, so here at least once a week. Barry, the owner, has my order down to primarily two favorites - Smoky Mountain Burger with smoked cheddar and bacon or the large pork BBQ dry (no sauce) as each table has a rack of six different BBQ sauces to try from Honey to House to Hot & Spicy. Other hamburger options include Classic American; a Braeden Burger with cheese and barbecue sauce; and the Devil’s Demise with American cheese, chili, and jalapeño peppers. All are carried hot and juicy to your table by the staff. Homemade chips are standard or other sides of fries, BBQ beans, slaw, etc. Coca-Cola soft drinks with good sweet and unsweet tea.

Christian music is playing in an Americana decorated eating area. Barry, the owner, and his staff provide superb customer service. Call in orders to (423) 378-0500. The place does not have its own website, but a good review by the local public radio station is linked below. Ratings on other websites are all four and five stars.

Directions: From Lincoln Street along Eastman Chemical Company, take Eastman Road north. From Fort Henry Drive/TN 36, turn at new Zoomerz to take Eastman Road south. Open Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; closed Sundays.

BTW: Braeden is the owner's cute son.
