Karkloof Falls is in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. A little off the main road and through a Sappi forest you will find this waterfall. Take a picnic basket for an enjoyable lunch.

You will have to turn off the main tarred road and travel a few kilometers on a dirt road. (The Co-ordinates are listed under parking) You do not need a 4x4 to visit the falls or the main picnic area, however the road may be difficult in rainy weather. To drive further up and closer to the falls you will need a 4x4. Signs are posted in this regard. You can hike the distance from the picnic/BBQ area. There are toilets available (but take your own toilet paper).
Please be wary of logging operations in the area. You drive through a Sappi forest.
