The well is constructed of wood with a tile roof top and a stone base. There are intricately carved angels and an inscription. The well was used up to 1950 and then connected to the mains water with this structure remaining in place.

Situated in the centre of this small village the well was the focal point for the villagers collecting water. The cottages you see today are from when the village belonged to the Lilford Estate.

There is an information board next to the well and a parking area.
