St. Michaels Catholic Church was established in 1863, however, the current church wasn't built until 1902, when a need for a larger building was deemed necessary to house the growing membership. In later years, the church started the St. Michaels Catholic School, located across the street from the parish center. The outdoor altar for the church is located behind the parish center, on Franklin Street.
