Martindale winds it's way along the South Western shores of Ullswater and has few inhabitants,50 at most in winter,but the lovely old church here of St.Peter receives many visitors as they walk the valleys.
The church was built in 1880,Built in the Early English style it has a chancel with vestry,a nave,bell turret and South West facing porch.
