Description/Review:
The website describes some more details: 'Odells, as it is popularly known, is a family business of long standing - established in 1740 - and run by brothers David and Richard Odell. Certainly it can be traced back over two and a half centuries, and the Odell family has been involved in ironmongery since the first half of the nineteenth century when the current owners' great-great-grandfather started up in business in Stony Stratford. If you require an oyster knife or mushroom brush, a cordless electric drill or a lawnmower, Odells will be pleased to supply it with courtesy. Odells appeals to a wide range of discerning customers, some of whose families have dealt with the business for over 150 years. Here you will find traditional high service, product knowledge and awareness - a rare commodity in these days of large superstores. At Odells you can purchase loose nails, loose screws, pearl glue, tarred string, metal brackets and rat traps. In the old days pots and pans were made on site, now the shop contains a large range of high quality kitchen equipment and cookware together with a large range of gadgets and utensils.'
