Blaze (Animal Memorial) - East Side Fire Station - Connellsville, Pennsylvania

Blaze was a female dalmatian canine adopted in 1977 from a Good Samaritan in Connellsville when it was just a one-year old. She was a favorite of the local youngsters who visited the Fire Station as well as local residents in the Second Ward. At one time, Blaze visited the local Newspaper on a daily basis and was even a full member of the Connellsville Fire Department, until her health began to decline.
Blaze was also bred twice with Connellsville Township VFD's canine "Smokey", once was a stillborn birth and the other one came to a litter of 12, with one passing away shortly after its birth.
