The second overlook you come across after entering the park off Highway 191, is the La Sal Mountains Viewpoint. From here, you can look out over the Courthouse Towers, as well as the Petrified Sand Dunes out to the La Sal Mountains.

Heading north into the park, this overlook is the first overlook approached on the right. It loops around, and has parking for approximately 10 vehicles. A small flattened section acts as a viewing platform, and signs lay out the names of the formations in front of you.
The Orientation Table points out the "Landmarks on the Landscape" as (from left to right...the Three Gossips, Sheep Rock, the Tower of Babel, and the Organ. One can even see Balanced Rock in the distance.
