The Cambridge Family YMCA is located in Central Square along Massachusetts Avenue, and across the street from city hall. It provides a wide range of services, including residences, classes, and enterainment.

I could not find specific information about when this local Y was established, but one page on the local YMCA site says that they have been serving Cambridge for over 100 years.

The residence, called Central House, provides housing for about 128 men. They also have childcare facilities, gym facilities, and a theatre.

The theatre was opened in 1897 (apparently a YMCA facility from the beginning), but was closed in the 1940s. At one time, it was used as the nerf court. In 2003, it was rennovated and rededicated as Durrell Hall. It holds various performance productions and events.
