The Las Vegas Strip is one of the world's most photographed nighttime venues. Neon light abounds over the entire Las Vegas Valley, but the brightest spot in town is the Strip. This waymarker has heard stories of light meters registering more light at night than during the day! During early visits with my trusty Pentax P5 35mm, I never shot any Strip photo at less than 1/60 second with 800 or 1600 ISO film.
Directions to find this location are probably not necessary, as the casinos tower into the sky - the Strip generally is considered to be a 4-mile section of Las Vegas Boulevard South (Nevada Route 604) which runs SW then S from Downtown.
The only hazards involved in visiting this site are traffic, probable loss of bankroll in one of the brightly-lit nearby buildings, and loss of sleep from trying to see everything!
