Millennial Dawn, holding in her arms the child of our hopes, signifies the beauty and strength of our community.  She stands here, looking over St. George's Historic District, raising high a dove signifying peace to our future generations.  As the child reaches to the dove, so too, our community reaches toward the time to come on the dawn of this new millennium. - text of plaque
