The Three Servicemen statue, also known as the Three Soldiers statue, is a bronze statue located in Constitutional Gardens on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The statue consists of three young men, appropriately armed and dressed for the Vietnam War and intentionally identifiable as Hispanic, Caucasian, and African American. It was designed to neutralize criticism of the (then) unconventional National Vietnam Veterans Memorial (The Wall) by adding a more traditional component to the overall memorial. The statue, unveiled on Veterans Day, 1984, was designed by Frederick Hart.
