This milestone is situated on the road between Tavistock and Chillaton, it tells us Tavistock is 3 miles and Chillaton is also 3 miles. About 20 paces up the road towards Chillaton there is the usual cross roads sign this tells us there is 3.5 miles to Chillaton. I wonder which one is correct!
