This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling of England & Wales (1912-21). It was levelled with a height of 16.7460 feet [5.1042 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). The flush bracket was included on the Troon to Newlyn (Tolcarne) levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on E. face of building, junction of Albert Street, Penzance.
