In a place as big as Sacramento, with as many different streets and roads as it has, I suppose it becomes necessary to come up with some unexpected names when all the more usual street names are already taken. Then again, perhaps there were some genuine geeks involved.
This doesn't seem to really fit this category very well, but this category seems closer than any others currently existing.
