Just a few kilometers southwest of Gabes is the mountain town of Matmata.
At hotel "Sidi Driss" the interiors of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's house were filmed.
As you can see from the picture above, they do not remove the scenery.
For Star Wars Episode II - Attack Of the Clones George Lucas returned. And they shot here again.
