Christ Church in Carnforth is a very welcoming church, and is open every day during the hours of daylight.
The original part of the building dates from 1873,but it was extended in 1901 and a tower added in 1908.
During the 20th century many alterations were made and new features added reflecting the Catholic tradition of the parish,
The Blessed Sacrament is reserved in the church for the communion of the sick and incapacitated, and as a special focus for prayer.
The church has a pipe organ which was built by J W Walker in 1921.
The East window of the church depicts the Epiphany, and a very unusual feature of the window is that the Blessed Virgin is dressed in red and not the usual blue.
