Providence Station -- Providence, RI - Train Stations/Depots on Waymarking.com

The Providence Train Station is located on Gaspee Street in downtown Providence on property adjacent to the grounds of the Rhode Island State House. Constructed in 1986, the building's architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill gave it a modern design including a domed roof. This gave the interior a hint of the grand spaces of earlier generation's train stations. The former Providence Union Station buildings have been renovated and add nicely to the downtown's Kennedy Plaza area.

The train station serves by Amtrak and the MBTA (Boston "T").
