Native Rhode Islander and Revolutionary War hero Nathanael Greene's statue is found on the South entrance the Rhode Island State House. Dedicated in 1931, the statue was created by Henri Schinhardt. General Greene's contributions to the Revolutionary war are significant and widely written about and numerous monuments to his contributions can be found throughout the United States.
