Harter Fell has been described by the well know guide book writerA.Wainwright as being "beautiful",and who could disagree.
The mountain is not only good to look at but good to climb, from either Seathwaite in the Duddon valley or from Esdale, the valley to the North.
The summit is a wonderous rocky place, with fine views in clear weather to the Scafells,Englands highest mountain.
Altitude in Feet: 2140
