The church was built of stone c.1335 and then had the chancel totally rebuilt in the Victorian period. The west door is beautifully carved with flowers and foliage designs;
can you spot the two keys?
In the field that slopes up from the village hall is the site of a medieval settlement, which includes earthworks and buried remains.
To the north there are ‘Priory Earthworks’, it is highly likely that the ground upon which ‘All Saints’ stands was once owned by the original Priory. There are six bells in the tower; the oldest of which was cast by an itinerant bell founder, Austin Bracker, during the reign of Mary Tudor (1553 – 1558).
