Captain Robert Smith (1802-1848) is the principal person associated with this marker. It appears that his wife, Jerusha Call (1812-1874) and two of his daughters are also mentioned. One daughter, Caroline (1836-1855) died young at 19, while the other, Mary (1834-1906) lived much longer, 72 years, and married a man named Potter the other name associated with this marker. I could find no other information about this family online or elsewhere. I am sure a full genealogical search could fill in many other details.
