Bolton Le Sands is cut through by the Lancaster canal,the canal towpath being a very popular walk,especially on a Sunday,and leaving the canal at the canal bridge will lead you to this fine old church only a short stroll away.
The Roman Catholic church of St.Mary of all Saints was built in 1844.
The church Spire is tall and impressive and dominates the village,the renowned architectural critique Pevsner considered the porch spire to have "Quite irresponsible detail"
The inside of the church is equally as impressive with it's marble columns and many stained glass windows.
