Built in 1915, the Lincoln Highway bridge in Tama is the most famous bridge on the highway.

The initial construction was financed by the citizens of Tama to show their pride in being on the Lincoln Highway, and in the mid-1980's their descendents raised the money necessary to save it. It is the only remaining original bridge along the Lincoln Highway.
