This 60 hectare facility is operated by Scouts Canada, Battlefields Council, Hamilton-Wentworth Area. It is located near Mount Nemo, a major geological feature in the area that is part of the Niagara Escarpment. The Bruce Trail, an 800km hiking trail that runs the length of the Escarpment is also found nearby.
