There are two signs here that mark the location of the Village of Zimmerman. The village was established in 1854, and was home to 100 people. Over the years, the population growth of the Greater Toronto Area absorbed this village and it is now a neighbourhood in the City of Burlington. This is very much one of those "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" size communities. There is a Baptist Church on the corner, and otherwise a sea of rural farmland - this still remains a mostly undeveloped section of the City.
