This Cut Benchmark and 1GL bolt is sited on the north side of the bridge over the centre of the west arch. It is about 18 inches from the top of the battlement.

The benchmark dates from 1849 and the First primary levelling which took place from 1840 to 1860. It is number 21 on the Tavistock to Liskeard line and was 45.570 feet above sea-level(Liverpool Datum).
It is not recorded on the OS benchmark list on (visit link)
