Dunkin Donuts is one of the leading donut chains in Korea, with Starbucks its chief competitor. Krispy-Kreme has a smaller presence. Although I have been unable to verify statistics, I would estimate that there are several hundred outlets in the country.



Donuts are self-service - just get your tray and tongs at the door. There are some familiar varieties, like the Boston Cream, but also flavors appealing to the local pallette. The grapefruit Coolatas are refreshing.


Always good to meet over a cup of coffee! The group on the right are actually Chinese, rather than Korean. Each store has a unique decor. This looks Italian to me . . .
