Charles Crisafulli lost his life in a rescue attempt in the St. Lawrence River at Newfoundland on February 18th, 1942.

This park was dedicated in honor of Charles C. Crisafulli, the first casualty of World War II from Oswego County. There is a baseball field here, along with a small recreational park. On the corner of the park, a plaque and anchor have been placed, dedicated in Crisafulli's honor.
