Originally founded as Gamma Gamma Gamma in the early 1920s, the fraternity was chartered as Gamma Mu Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity on December 7th, 1929. For many years, Gamma Mu was the only Pi Kappa Alpha chapter in New England until it was joined by Trinity College (1953), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1970), and the University of Massachusetts (1977). Currently, New England is home to seven active PIKE chapters and is part of Pi Kappa Alpha's New England Region
Today, "PIKE" as it is known at UNH, is made up of over 60 brothers representing a large, broad cross section of student population. Brothers are active members of the UNH community and participate in groups such as Student Senate, Crew, and Freshman Camp to name a few. PIKE prides itself on the diverse interests and talents of brothers as well as the closeness of the brotherhood.
When I was a student here in the late 60's I had friends who were brothers here so I got to go to a lot of parties here. Many fond memories!!
