This category asks "Who are today's Epic Beings?" I submit that many of them are the characters from our TV shows, the modern equivalent of Myths, legends, and epic stories. One of these is a character from 1970's TV show set in the 1950s. Not the main character of the show, but a leather jacket-sporting, motorcycle-riding, King of Cool: the Fonz! He had abilities beyond those of mere mortals (watch the episode where he battled Mork, the alien from outer space) and yet, had many human frailties.
