When it opened in April 1996 it was the first commercial brewey in the area for almost 30 years. It is still the city's only brew pub. It doubled its capacity within a year and now produces four regular beers and occasional experimental ones. Beer from the brewery is avaialbe in the Joiners and other pubs in and around the Swansea area. In particular I recommend the Three Cliffs Gold, named after a beautiful nearby beach. Tours of the brewery are by arrangement.
The pub itself dates from the 1860s. Beer festivals are occasionally held in the pub.
