The Las Vegas Strip (Nevada Route 604..which is unsigned) has been designated by the U.S. National Scenic Byways Program as America's ONLY nighttime byway - running for 4 & 1/2 miles & consisting of the most concentrated area of 'unnatural' lighting anywhere! The Strip more or less begins at the 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign north to Sahara Blvd - just south of the Stratosphere Casino.
Unlike most byways, this is a showcase of man-made scenic views ...especially at night. A must-see during a tour of the other scenic sights of the U.S. Southwest!
