The Chattanooga Chew Chew Canine Park, the city’s first dog park, opened on June 5 amid applaws and howls of approval. The city of Chattanooga provided the land and Friends of Chattanooga’s Animal Services raised the money for fencing, benches, water fountains, agility equipment, etc. Even though FOCAS is pleased and interested to hear about your experience while at the dog park, it is a city park – managed by the Parks and Recreation Department. CHATTANOOGA CHEW CHEW CANINE PARK RULES

Dog feces must be cleaned up by dog owners.
Dog owners must be in the park and within view of their dogs at all times.
Dogs must be removed from the dog park at the first sign of aggression.
Dog owners must have a leash in hand at all times.
Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the dog park.
Dogs must display a current rabies vaccination tag on their collar.
Dogs must display a current license on their collar.
Female dogs in heat are prohibited from the dog park.
Aggressive dogs are prohibited from the dog park.
Dogs must be under voice control at all times (i.e. They should come when called by their owners)
Dog owners are responsible for ensuring that their dogs do not escape from the fenced area.
Small children and infants must be under supervision of guardian at all times.
Users of this park do so at their own risk.
