Although there were many historically significant events going on during Queen Isabella's reign, including the Spanish Inquisition, the war between Castile and Aragon and the search for Ferdinand, Queen Isabella is best remembered with her entertaining of Christopher Columbus....several times!
Once Granada was free from the control by the Moors, Columbus met with the Queen one more time there. On August 3, 1492 Columbus set sail with three ships the Niña, the Pinta and the Santa Maria and 87 men. The rest is history!!
