My friends just opened a music store nearby and at the grand opening I saw trains go over this bridge. You can safely stand below the tracks and watch trains speed by, just a few feet away. They appear suddenly and and are gone before you can get the camera ready.

Here is a link to a PDF file of an Amtrak train schedule: (visit link) I think this bridge is between 5 and 10 minutes west of the Old Saybrook train station.

Clinton town parking (free) is just feet away, southeast of the bridge on and near Post Office Sq.
Bridge Type: Rigid Frame (Concrete Deck and Supports)

Bridge Usage: Railroad

Moving Bridge: Not listed
