HÄMMELSMARSCHBOUR - LUXEMBOURG - Fountains on Waymarking.com

This fountain by Luxembourg artist Will Lofy shows a scene from the "Hämmelsmarsch" (eng.: Sheep's March parade) that opens the "Schueberfouer" fun fair each year.
The origin of the "Schueberfouer" goes back to a market which was held for the first time in 1340, but the "Hämmelsmarsch" opening parade dates only back to the 17th century.
In 1990, September 24, the Luxembourg Post issued a stamp showing this fountain.
