At the "Kanounenhiwel" (eng.: cannon hill) stands the national solidarity monument to commemorate the dead of the World War II and the sufferings and struggles of the Luxembourg people during the Nazi occupation.
Built according to drawings of René Mailliet, the monument was inaugurated in 1971.
