Background:
Custer State Park is located in the beautiful Black Hills region of South Dakota. It is the largest and oldest state park in the state. The State Game Lodge served as the "Summer White House" for President Calvin Coolidge. The park is home to a huge herd of buffalo that run freely throughout the park. I camped at the Game Lodge Campground and woke up one morning to about 300 buffalo strolling past our campground (picture included). Each season, the park hosts a buffalo round-up!
