This bridge has a length of 250 feet and spans the water that is discharged over the spillway at the Winsor Dam. The height above the water is roughly 55 feet. It was finished along with the Winsor Dam and opened for traffic in 1939.
At onetime you were able to drive over the Winsor Dam and this bridge, but that was stopped for security reasons after 9/11/2001. The bridge is now limited to foot and bicycle traffic.
