At Fort Ebey State Park there are plenty of recreation opportunities, including this model glider field located above old battery 248.
Enjoy views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains from this glider field atop the bluffs of Whidbey Island.
The field is not associated with any particular club, but is just a recreation opportunity provided by the state park.
The park is open during daylight hours. There is no fee for parking or admission. You'll also find a great campground at this park if you want to make a weekend of it. Be sure to make a reservation though, as campsites book up fast.
