The Parque de Santa Cruz, popularly known as Jardim da Sereia (Mermaid's Garden), is a green located in the centre of Coimbra, Portugal.
The entrance, through the Praça da Republica, holds 3 statues that represent Faith, Charity and Hope. Climbing the stairs, the fountain Fonte da Nogueira justifies the popular name of the park: a statue of a Triton opening a dolphin's mouth.
The exploration of the space was started in the 12th century, by a religious congregation devoted to Saint Augustine. The construction of the park in its current configuration happened in the 18th century. Today, the park features a wide array of tree species.
