WCCC, broadcasting on 23,000 watts, plays hard rock music to central Connecticut. Broadcasting since 1960, from a transmitter on top of Avon Mountain (West Hartford), the station now broadcasts in digital HD radio, as was as analog.

Through the years ownership changed hands and somehow it did not get bought when corporations bought every other radio station in Connecticut. WCCC is proud to say that they are the only non-corporate operation in Connecticut

Howard Stern, was a DJ for "CCC" from 1979 to 1980. This is where he met his producer Fred Norris.
