The Maple Grove Arboretum is a beautiful 15-acre park along Elm Creek. The park has over 100 local, hardy trees for exhibit and study, trails that lead to Rice Lake and the Regional Corridor (with three geocaches within walking distance from the main parking lot), and is home to the Angel of Hope Statue. To support the ongoing beautification of the park, there is a tree sponsorship program. There is also a brick memorial program at the Angel of Hope Statue.
The arboretum is located just east of I-94. You can take the Cty Rd 30 exit East then a left on Fernbrook Lane, and the parking lot is right there by the main sign. The posted coordinates are for the main parking lot, and there is a smaller lot further North on Fernbrook if the primary lot is full.
The arboretum is entirely free, and is open from sunrise to sunset. The pavilion is available for rent to the public. The Angel of Hope statue is waymarked separately, and is open for a public candlelight memorial ceremony each year on December 6th at 7:00 p.m.
