The Bushnell hosts more than 350 events a year, offering a wide variety of cultural and artistic events, including and not limited to, performances for various national touring companies of Broadway shows, musical concerts, comedians, children's theater, opera and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.
Built in 1930, The Bushnell's original hall, The Mortenson, has 2805 seats. In November 2001, The Bushnell opened a second theater, attached to the original structure. The Belding Theater is a 907-seat, state of the art performance hall.
The Bushnell is listed as a national historic landmark.
