[FR] La dissymétrie des trois derniers niveaux, comme la luxuriance des décors, s'oppose aux balustres en fuseaux du balcon filant du deuxième étage.
Les formes des ouvertures sont très fluides et le végétal très bien mis en valeur. Les grilles et les balustrades en fer forgé reçoivent cependant un décor abstrait, dessiné par l’architecte. Par ailleurs, le décor végétal fait de courbes et de contre-courbes domine et s’impose avec une grande légèreté. Il est complété par endroit par un décor animal.
[EN] Many French consider Lavirotte to be superior as an architect to Guimard himself. In this example one can see that the modernist architect was heavily influenced by the great baroque French castles, mostly with respect to the upper windows and the roof. But the Art Nouveau style is very much present here, in the iron-work balconies and in the windows. This building is among this architect's first works.
